Nolwenn Bargin, a French-Swiss flutist of Breton origin, shows an early interest in the flute. At 11, she begins her studies in Paris in the class of Sophie Cherrier and at 19, she enters the Musikhochschule of Stuttgart in the class of Jean-Claude Gérard where she obtains her diploma of higher studies five years later. She then continues her studies in the class of Davide Formisano and obtains in 2010 her soloist diploma with unanimity.

She starts her professional career at the Württembergische Philharmonie Reutlingen. Temporary contracts followed at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, playing under the direction of Pierre Boulez, Ricardo Chailly and Gustavo Dudamel among others, and at the Berlin Philharmonic, playing under conductors such as Mariss Jansons, Bernard Haitink and Herbert Blomstedt.

Currently co-soloist at the Musikkollegium Winterthur, Nolwenn Bargin is regularly invited by orchestras such as the Basel Symphony Orchestra and the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra.

Since 2017, Nolwenn Bargin is Professor for flute at the Stella Vorarlberg Privathochschule für Musik in Austria, while pursuing an extensive soloistic and chamber music activity. Her first recording for the Claves records label, entirely devoted to works by CPE Bach, in partnership with the Musikkollegium Winterthur and the conductor Roberto González Monjas, was released in autumn 2019. Recently she played Mozart's concerto for flute and harp with Anneleen Lenaerts and the orchestra of the Musikkollegium Winterthur.

In chamber music, she performs alongside artists such as Lise de la Salle, Kit Armstrong, Nicolas Altstaedt, Ian Bostridge, José Cura, Emmanuel Pahud and Emmanuel Ceysson. In 2021, she realizes her chamber music project by creating the ensemble Chant du Vent and with a first recording, devoted to works for flute and piano as well as works for trio, with cello, violin and oboe of the composer Philippe Gaubert.

She participates in many educational projects such as in Iran, where she supports the action of the association Bridge for Art, and in Colombia, where she supports young talents of the Iberacademy in Medellín through masterclasses and side-by-side orchestra projects.
