BACH: ORGAN MASTERWORKS, VOL. IV - KEI KOITO
Like the three previous ones, this new volume of Bach organ works contains masterpieces, first and foremost, but also works that have not been clearly authenticated – incertum – and transcriptions of Bach works not originally composed for the organ, but that have definite value.
May I express my warm and profound gratitude to the three authors of the text of this booklet for their precious contribution.

Dans ce programme Bach, j'ai réuni différentes œuvres écrites dans la tonalité « in c », mises en perspective avec quelques œuvres destinées au temps de la Trinité. Et si j'ai à nouveau choisi l'orgue Schnitger de la Martinikerk de Groningen, c'est tout autant pour la noblesse de ses tuttis flamboyants, que pour la luminosité des jeux de détails et l’attaque précise des tuyaux. Mais sans doute plus encore pour le tempérament « Hinsz », très proche du tempérament « Neidhardt I » que Bach a particulièrement apprécié.
Ce nouveau volume des œuvres d’orgue de Bach contient, comme les trois précédents, tout d’abord des chefs-d’œuvre, mais également des œuvres d’auteurs non clairement authentifiés – incertum – et des transcriptions d’œuvres de Bach originellement non écrites pour l’orgue, mais qui possèdent une valeur certaine.
Je souhaite exprimer ma chaleureuse et profonde gratitude aux trois auteurs des textes de ce livret pour leur précieuse contribution.

In diesem Bach-Programm habe ich verschiedene in der Tonart C geschriebenen Werke zusammengefasst, die ich mit einigen der Trinitatiszeit gewidmeten Werke in Zusammenhang brachte. Der Grund, weshalb ich erneut die Schnitger-Orgel der Martinikerk (Martinikirche) von Groningen gewählt habe, liegt einerseits in der Erhabenheit ihrer funkelnden Tuttis, andererseits im Glanz der einzelnen Register und im präzisen Anschlag der Pfeifen. Den Ausschlag gab jedoch die Stimmung «Hinsz», sehr ähnlich der Stimmung «Neidhardt I», die Bach ganz besonders schätzte.
Diese neue CD mit Orgelwerken von Bach enthält, genau wie die drei vorangehenden, vor allem verschiedene Meisterwerke, aber auch Werke, die nicht eindeutig zugewiesen werden können – incertum – sowie Transkriptionen von Bach-Werken, die ursprünglich nicht für Orgel geschrieben wurden, jedoch einen unbestreitbaren Wert besitzen.
Ich möchte den drei Autoren dieses Booklets meinen herzlichen Dank für ihren wertvollen Beitrag aussprechen.

In this Bach programme, I have gathered various works written in the key of C, put into perspective with a few works intended for the Trinity period. And if I again chose the Schnitger organ of Groningen’s Martinikerk, it is as much for the nobility of its flamboyant tuttis as for the brightness of the individual stops and the accurate attack of the pipes. Or perhaps even more because of its “Hinsz” temperament, which is very close to the “Neidhardt” temperament that Bach particularly appreciated.
