XVTH CLARA HASKIL COMPETITION 1993
This is particularly apparent in Fellner’s performance of Mozart’s Piano Concerto in E-flat Major, K. 482, with the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne under the direction of the Israeli conductor Uri Segal. In addition to the piano concerto, this recording features works for solo piano which exemplify Till Fellner’s artistry: Mozart’s late masterpiece the Rondo in A Minor, K. 511, and Beethoven’s revolutionary early Piano Sonata in C Minor, Op. 10,1. This CD was realized in collaboration with the Clara Haskil Competition and Radio Suisse Romande – Espace 2.

The 15th Clara Haskil Competition in Vevey (Switzerland) was dominated by one performer: the young Viennese pianist Till Fellner. Fellner’s style is characterized by technical perfection and discrete virtuosity, as well as radiating something of the inner values associated with the name of Clara Haskil.
This is particularly apparent in Fellner’s performance of Mozart’s Piano Concerto in E-flat Major, K. 482, with the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne under the direction of the Israeli conductor Uri Segal.
